"We have been operating the Saturday market at North Weald Airfield on behalf of Epping Forest District Council since 2015. In a relatively short space of time we have been able to develop a strong and proactive working relationship with Epping Forest District Council which undoubtably has allowed us to not only survive, but emerge from the recent national events with a positive outlook. The government issued guidelines were not always entirely clear relating to retail during the various lockdowns but the direct lines of contact, discussions and prompt action from the Asset Management Team up to the Chief Operating Office allowed us to operate in the most efficient manner while complying with the directives.
We are now in a position where we believe North Weald Market can evolve and grow as the leading retail centre for small retailers, where they can bridge the space between online and physical trading, and have the confidence to launch an extensive advertising campaign. The geographical location of Epping Forest, with its excellent transport links, mean that we are attracting business from a vast area, the whole of Greater London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and East Anglia."
