North Weald Airfield

Up to ten hectares of new high-quality employment space. An exciting development with unrivalled connectivity where people can enjoy the rich heritage of the Airfield.

A range of new development parcels are being created around the site, ranging from smaller employment uses such as office buildings or light industrial to the south, to larger units such as warehousing or logistics uses to the north.

The redevelopment of the site will provide approximately 100,000sqm of new employment floorspace. A new energy centre is proposed within the northern part of the site as part of the strategy for a net zero carbon development.

The site sits within the UK Innovation Corridor, linking London to Cambridge, and the Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ), a ground-breaking partnership aiming to make this area the best connected of its type, in the UK. The area has very high levels of broadband and digital accessibility making it an ideal location for businesses that are focused on future needs and the best use of technology.

The site has outstanding connections to London, Cambridge and beyond plus connections to the local highway network and existing public transport. The northern section of the site has direct access to the nearby junction on the M11 which is just over 3 miles to the M25 to the south and one junction from Stansted Airport to the north. The London tube network extends to Epping on the Central Line, around three miles from the site.

The site has undergone a master-planning process that can now be viewed online at North Weald Airfield Strategic Masterplan.
