Education

As you would expect from an area like Epping Forest, there are outstanding choices in the public and private education sphere, at all levels, across the district.

Chigwell, Forest and Bancroft are each recognised as excellent independent schools and offer opportunities for families wishing to educate their children in this sector. At primary and secondary level there are a range of excellent schools in the private and public sector across the district.

Further education in the district is provided by New City College which has recently incorporated the Epping Forest campus into one of the largest Further Education providers in the country. With colleges right across London, New City College is investing in, and developing, further education provision and linking with local business to ensure the needs of new and emerging businesses are fully met through skills provision.

Higher education within the district is provided through Essex University East 15, however, given the district’s location, all the world class universities and colleges in London are only a tube ride away.

This fantastic location offers a great range of independent and public schools delivering excellence at all levels
