The new Public Health England site, on the Epping Forest District border, will create a campus for re-located staff and facilities from Porton in Wiltshire and Colindale in north London as well as its headquarters functions from central London.
Public Health England will create a centre of excellence for research, health improvement and protection and bring together world-renowned scientists working to protect and improve the health of the nation.
This investment will bring a major addition to the already strong life sciences offer in the region, delivering new opportunities to enhance business clusters around this internationally recognised facility, as well as enhanced employment, training and supply chain opportunities.
